2.18L children given Polio drops in Barmer alone

Barmer: Considering the threat of Polio virus from neighbouring Pakistan and Afghanistan, the union health ministry has launched a 3 days ‘Special Polio Drive’ under Sub National Immunization Day (SNID) in 22 districts of State. The three day drive began from June 25 and on the first day against the target of 4.24 lakhs children 2.18 lakhs children under the age of five years administered the polio vaccine in Barmer.

Rest children are being covered on remaining days on June 26 and 27.
