16 vehicles seized in R’bore, FIR filed for illegal entry

Sawai Madhopur: In a significant crackdown at Ranthambore, the Forest Dept seized 16 vehicles involved in unauthorized adventure tours in Zone 8. The vehicles, registered in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra, were impounded for illegal safari activities despite a statewide ban.

The operation was conducted under the directives of PCCF & CWLW Pawan Upadhyay and led by FD Anoop KR and DCF Ramanand Bhakar. Five of the seized vehicles were parked at the Forest Department office, while the remaining eleven were stored on the department’s campus on Friday. The tours were organized by a tour operator, violating the ban on safaris.
