13-year-old killed in mishap, people block Highway in Bundi

Bundi/Tonk: In a tragic incident, a 13-year-old Abhijit died while two were seriously injured in an accident near a petrol pump in Lakheri city of Bundi on Sunday. The injured were referred to Kota after first-aid. Abhijit was returning with his mother and maternal uncle after celebrating his birthday on May 4.

After the collision, the truck driver dragged the child for 100 metres and fled with the truck. On receiving information, police reached the spot. The family and the people around blocked the road leading to Bundi for about six hours and denied taking the body. Later, police calmed them and said that appropriate compensation would be given by the government. People demanded action against the policeman who parked another truck in place of the truck which caused the accident. Police said that an investigation will be conducted & appropriate action will be taken.Later, the last rites of the child were performed in presence of police personnel.

Meanwhile, in a terrible accident in Tonk between a car and a truck. Two carborne passengers were killed while 3 people were injured. The accident took place near Sadar thana near NH 52. The injured were brought to Tonk.
