120 sheep and 1 shepherd killed as speeding oil tanker overturns

Udaipur: A herd of sheep and a shepherd were crushed to death in a road accident near the Bhadvi Guda police station area on the Gogunda Pindwara Highway of Udaipur on Sunday. A speeding tanker carrying oil lost control on the slope of the highway and overturned on a divider. More than 120 sheep died on the spot and about 50 sheep were seriously injured and two shepherds also suffered serious injuries. Three shepherds jumped to save their lives.

Oil from the tanker spilled on the highway after which the highway was completely blocked causing a long jam on the highway. A team from Gogunda police station, the highway patrolling team and a team of veterinarians reached the spot.
