St. Xavier’s College Jaipur to Commemorate World Heart Day with Special Event on September 26, 2024

Jaipur: The National Service Scheme (NSS) and Department of Science of St. Xavier’s College Jaipur are set to organize a special event to commemorate World Heart Day on 26th September 2024, in collaboration with the Indian Dietetic Association and NetProFan (Network of Professionals for Food and Nutrition). The event will take place in the college auditorium at 11:00 AM. 

The central theme of this year's celebration is “A Healthy Heart is a Key to a Healthy Life”, focusing on raising awareness about cardiovascular health, prevention of heart diseases, and the role of diet in maintaining a healthy heart. The event will be graced by Prof. Nimali Singh, Principal of Maharani College Jaipur, who will be the Chief Guest and deliver the keynote address, sharing insights on heart care and overall well-being. 

The event is organized by Sr. Dr. Ligimol Louis and Dr. Antony Nitin from the Science Department, with Prof. Fr. S. Xavier SJ as the main organizer. Dr. Ritu Mehra and Mr. Rohan Thomas Cherian are the Programme Officers for the event. Students and faculty members will benefit from engaging discussions and practical advice on fostering heart health through proper nutrition and lifestyle changes.
