Dr Nabhit Kapur receives the Africa Community Engagement Award 2024

Indian psychologist and ambassador to WSA Dr Nabhit Kapur has been awarded the ‘Global Africa Best Community Engagement Award’ in Kigali, Rwanda, along with a plaque mentioning him as one of 100 notable personalities in Africa.

The award was the culmination of a four-day highly successful 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit, during which Kapur addressed the gathering on opportunities, collaborations and challenges in Africa.

According to event organisers, Dr Nabhit deserves the recognition for his contribution to influencing and mentoring youth across the continent to embrace entrepreneurship, well-being and self-actualisation.

“I am so happy and emotional that the Africa deemed me deserving of this award which places more responsibility on my shoulders to continue to advocate for African well-being and realisation and investing in people who make up significant part of the continent.

He continued that, “We have to do everything in our capacity as Global Citizens to encourage and support the youth to be resourceful, resilient and selfless.”

Other recipients of the awards in different sectors include Zamfara Sate governor, Dauda Lawal; Samira Buhari, Founder, Daurama Foundation; Senator Aplonia Munzverengwi from Zimbabwe and Michael Bartlett, CEO Vanderpuye Group, Ghana, amongst many others.
