Aamir Khan already in search of his next project as he reviews four new scripts

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Aamir Khan’s image as Mr Perfectionist works perfectly for the actor as he essays his roles to the T. This is why the actor chooses one film a year and puts all his efforts into making the character his own. But due to the extensive gap that the pandemic has put in his body of work, Aamir is eager to start a new project as his upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ nears its theatrical release.

According to reports by Pinkvilla, the actor is already reviewing four scripts and wants to announce the project right after the release of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development stating, “Siddharth P Malhotra is currently directing Aamir's son, Junaid, in Yash Raj Production's ‘Maharaja’. In the process of this, the filmmaker has had multiple meetings with Aamir to bounce off several ideas. Aamir has liked one of those and has asked Siddharth to develop it with his team of writers. If everything falls in place, the film in question will go on floors late next year.”

Apart from this, Aamir has the official adaptation rights of the Spanish film ‘Campeones’ with RS Prasanna on board for direction. But the actor wants to test the waters with ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ before announcing his next project, which is why he is waiting till August end. The source added, “While Aamir loves the script and the idea of this film, he prefers to announce films only after one is out of his system. So, despite having everything in place for the film, he will take the final call on ‘Campeones’ only by August end.” The actor wishes to start production on the film by October or September.

The source further stated, “There is a biopic of a controversial lawyer that he has been offered. There is also ‘Moghul’ in the kitty. So, his plate is full, and now it's upon him to segregate the offers and decide what's to be done. It might be one of these 4, or something fresh, taking everyone by surprise.”
