Describe yourself for us. 
My name is Monika Kandpal and I am from Uttrakhand. I currently stay in Delhi. I completed my schooling in Delhi and graduated from Delhi University. I am a professional model, actor, fitness trainer and social activist. I have done modelling for many products such as home appliances, jewellery, designer dresses and beauty products etc.

Why did you choose modelling as a profession?
Modelling has been both my passion as well as my childhood dream. My family has always supported me, especially my husband, Rakesh Kandpal. He helped me a lot to achieve my aims. I won two crowns and the title of Mrs Delhi NCR 2016, Fittest Woman of the year 2016 and Mrs India International Timeless beauty 2017 from Bangkok. Many offers poured in after this.

What challenges did you face in this industry?
I had to face various people of different mindsets on my journey. I observed them and then worked with them. The second challenge that I faced was my age because I am above 50 years of age. However, I never stopped believing in myself. I believe that age is just a number.

We would like to know about your achievements.
I have received more than 150 awards as a model. However, my real achievements have been the love and respect of people. I have even worked for the blind and Cancer survivors. I have adopted a village named Hasanpur in East Delhi. I wish to distribute Sanitary Pads every month to underprivileged women.

Where do you see yourself after five years from now?
I wish to see myself working for the weaker sections of society. I wish to win everybody's hearts in my field. I would like to work more as a model and become a good actress.
