TUSSHAR IN A COP AVATAR!

After winning the hearts of his fans with his comedy in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Tusshar Kapoor is back in the world of acting with his muchawaited blockbuster ‘Maarrich’ starring Telugu star Seerat Kapoor. The reel-life power couple shared some insights about their upcoming thriller in an exclusive interview with City First!

TUSSHAR KAPOOR:
Do you think, Maarrich will help you to build an ‘Action Hero’ image from a comic actor in B-Town?

I never planned to get ‘Action Hero’ tag, I just wanted to show the world that I am more than you think! After my iconic role in Golmaal, people have kept me in a box and I wanted to make myself free from this box, definitely I would love to do different roles, not just action so that I would not fall into another Box again.

From comedy movies to action thrillers how difficult it was to play these characters and what is your creative process behind every role?

Golmaal was really challenging, I learned a lot from many workshops for that iconic role of ‘Lucky’ and indeed comedy is difficult, I believe that laughter is a wine of the soul, it always comes from within so it is difficult to make people laugh. Yes for this character as well we have taken workshops. Besides rehearsals, we use our imagination and personal meditating techniques to inbuild each character.

SEERAT KAPOOR:
What are your expectations from Maarichh, your debut film to B-town?

I have no expectations rather I am super excited about this movie. Working with fine actors in the industry like Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Anita Hassanandani etc was fun. I got a completely new audience and I am really grateful for this movie.

Please describe your character in the film.
My role in the film was a top model, who is also a very sensitive human and who feels every emotion deeply. She wants to keep her real and transparent in front of everyone.
