TRIPTI: A TERRIFIC VERSION OF POISE

True beauty is not limited to fashion but it also includes c o n f i d e n c e and the expression of skills. One such spectacular soul is Tripti Sharma who also believes in putting the best foot forward. City First spoke to Tripti Sharma about her journey as a model and here are some excerpts of that chitchat.
Describe yourself and what are some vital skills to make it in the modelling world?
I would describe myself as an open-minded, honest and strong person. I work very hard to stay a reliable and confident person. I am a cheerful person by nature who wants to spread love, kindness and positivity. I am always ready to face challenges in life. I can be defined as a person who never gives up irrespective of any situation. Modelling requires grace, skills and the ability to function well with others. It also needs time management to tackle the workload properly. A model should be flexible and patient enough to stay calm during a time of crisis.

What inspired you to find the supermodel in you?
I am grateful to Gaurav Gaur for always supporting me in this journey. Apart from this, I believe that a supermodel exists in all of us which is irrespective of weight, height, size, religion and nationality. However, the person who inspired me the most is myself. I competed in an event during my college freshers and won the title of Miss Freshers, 2017. It made me realize that I can participate in beauty pageants. I was among the top 30 finalists in Elite Miss Rajasthan in 2018 in my first attempt. It’s been four years and I am enjoying every bit of my wonderful journey whether it is the shoots or the shows.

What was the biggest rookie mistake you made as a newcomer?
Initially, I was a bit hesitant and even got demotivated at times. However, one must never get influenced or question abilities. Rejections should always be taken positively as a step to grow further. One must never give up even when nothing seems to work in favour. Faith is the key to surviving in any field.

What has been the most memorable or rewarding moment in your career?
A memorable moment in my career is when I walked as a showstopper in a fashion show choreographed by me. I was ecstatic to see myself on the big screen in Housefull 4. I enjoyed shooting with the team.
