TODAY’S GEN HAS LOST THE CONNECTION TO MOVIES: AMEESHA

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar: Ek Prem Katha 2 is gearing up to release this year after twenty-one years. The film will see Sunny Deol as Tara Singh Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their characters as Sakeena and Charanjeet. Ameesha in an exclusive conversation with Ashish Tiwari spoke about her journey and more.

Asking about shooting the film, “It’s nothing less than a miracle that I could carve my name in the hearts of the audience, and even after 20 years they eagerly waited for Gadar 2 on screen. I consider myself god’s child that I have been entitled to so much love” Speaking on the making of the movie she said, “ The movie is being shot with the same love and effort and the story that was loved so much will be taken a step ahead. People will get to experience what happens next. Its a complete package with all kinds of love, emotions, comedy, dialogues” Ameesha also spoke on Bollywood movies failing at the box office, “Maybe we are now focusing on pieces of stuff that are not important we are forgetting that Content is the king. Also, there’s a chance that the taste of the audience has evolved and Bollywood hasn’t been able to cope with it." Adding to it she said, “ We have seen the glory of a good film today’s generation is busy on Instagram and doesn’t focus on making good films. They have lost the connection. We were never distracted by other things we only concentrated on the content today I do the same. If everyone starts doing the same we have a scope of change”
