THE JOURNEY TILL HERE WAS NEVER EASY: NIKITA DUTTA

Actress Nikita Dutta will be soon seen in Rocket Gang alongside Aditya Seal. Directed by Bosco Martis, the film will hit screens on November 11. The actress spoke exclusively to Ashish Tiwari of First India News about her journey, switch from television and more.

Nikita has had a successful stint in the industry over the years speaking on the same she said, “ For me it has always been important that even if it’s for a while or throughout If I am on the screen the audience should remember me. I always look to carve my niche in the industry and By god’s grace Whatever I have done has left a positive mark on the audience. “

Speaking on how she began her stint she said, “I never thought of this , it’s like even when I was a kid I was told not to watch movies and concentrate on my studies. But I was always fond of this and during my college days I participated in a beauty pageant post which I got a job as a VJ and I realised that being in-front of the camera is what I liked”

Speaking on her journey she shared, “Indeed the journey till here was never easy the most important thing that kept me going was my family support. They have been my support system throughout. Also one needs to be mentally strong to go through the rejections. One also needs to remember why do we start the journey. I always felt satisfied when i came back home post my shoot and till date that’s been the same for me. Shooting makes me happy”

Speaking on her shift throughout the years she said, “Disappointment definitely pulls you down but if you are determined to work ahead it would be just a phase. Acting is acting no matter what the medium is. That’s why I even started working on Television its important to work and make place in the hearts of the audience”

She added, “I have received immense love over the years for my television character and especially Kabir Singh so I believe my decision worked very well. It has made me do what I do today. I have learned it over the years”

Sharing how Kabir Singh was the turning point of her career, “ Indeed , this is the beauty of this industry I believe whenever work comes you need to do it. I do remember when i was working on Kabir Singh we never imagined that the movie would be loved and appreciated so much . I did the movie because i wanted to be associated with it the screen time didn’t matter to me” In a very short span, she’s worked with industry stalwarts speaking on that she said, “ It’s a mix of talent and luck. I feel your thinking should be in the right way. I am very fortunate that I have got the opportunity to work with them and Have got the chance to learn so much from them “

Sharing her experience of working on Rocket Gang she said, “ We have been working on the film for 3 years , it’s a film where each one of us have put a lot of effort . The experience of doing something on the set was incompatible and every scene that i have done in the movie has been a unforgettable experience for me”

She added, “The challenging bit for me was the dance as I am not a professional dancer. I was the one matching steps with the professionals. I had to up my game so that I could fit in. Somewhere that was the challenging bit because the bar was set and I had to reach there”
