The Impact of Socio-economic Policies on Global Development

St. Xavier’s College - Jaipur organised a national symposium on ‘The Impact of Socio-economic Policies on Global Development’ during 10 – 11 March in blended mode.

In the inaugural session, Rev Fr Dr A Rex Angelo SJ, Principal, emphasised the importance of research for students while studying. Dr Vaishali said that the symposium provided a platform for budding researchers to share their research findings with others in the presentday socio-cultural-economic contexts.

The Chief Guest for the technical session on day one was Dr Satish Kumar, Associate Professor, Dept of Management Studies, Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur.

He taught the basics of research paper drafting and the importance of research to young researchers. Various renowned speakers like Dr Saurabh Sharma, Dr Satyabrata Roy, Dr Girdhari Lal Meena, and Dr Urvashi Sabu were moderators of the sessions.

The key highlight of the symposium was evidence-based, synthesised research and its presentation on various aspects. Over 100 abstracts were received from student-researchers across the country and more than 50 presentations were chosen for presentation.

Special awards were distributed for the best presentation and the best paper to promote research aptitude among the modern youth.
