Describe yourself for us.
My name is Ruby Bhatia and I am from Delhi. I have done a master’s in communication and multimedia from Michigan State, US and styling from CSM London.

Why did you choose styling as a profession?
I always loved to dress up like most girls. Apart from this, I also love to give clothing suggestions to other people. People can seek my advice to add or change while they dress up for any occasion. It came very naturally to me. Ideally, I would have gone for a fashion designer course but my parents weren’t too keen on that.

What challenges did you face in this industry?
I think that contacts in the industry do help and act as guidance. I knew no one so it took years of mistakes, learning, hard work and commitment to grow and reach this level.
 

We would like to know about your achievements.
I have done styling in movies, TV serials, TVCs, print, catalogue, personal styling, music videos, collection launch and fashion show, etc. I’m very proud of the magazine covers that I have done for FHM with all the Bollywood celebrities such as Emraan Hashmi, Arjun Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yuvraj Singh and Disha Patani, etc.

Where do you see yourself after five years from now?
I’m very picky and mindful of the work that I take. I’m also enjoying the new journey of being in front of the camera rather than behind as a content creator. I see myself being happy and content with whatever I’m doing and yet giving my best.
