SOLO ART EXHIBITION AT GALLERIE SPLASH
The solo art exhibition of Laxmana Goud’s drawings and intaglios was held at Gallerie Splash in Delhi recently. The Padma Shri artist who is in his eighties came from Hyderabad for the show. He even made sketches for everyone who approached him. Goud said, “Drawing is a sustainable tool in my opinion where a singular line has many nuances as I realize my imagination.
The host was busy attending to guests, art collectors and art lovers. Jinoy said, “Goud has experimented with various types of media from traditional oils to watercolour, pen, ink, coloured pencil. The etchings include his two-dimensional work in a series of bronze and terra cotta sculptures. The nostalgia is captured in its essence in his small paintings on village existence which are in the monochrome greys.
Later as colour became important in his art, the new thirst for colour pushed Goud towards different reverse painting.” Dharmendra Rathore, Jagannath Panda, Manu Parekh, Madhvi Parekh and other art lovers attended the event.
