PRAKRITI A DAUGHTER OF NATURE

Toughness is in the soul and spirit and not in the muscles! A nomadic woman with a mountain to climb, half in love with herself and half with oblivion.

City First in an exclusive conversation with Prakriti Varshney, a Delhit and a true daughter of nature! 26-year-old Prakriti proved that she wasn't born to become the queen of the golden cage but created to conquer the world! At the young age of 20, she left her home and moved in the arms of nature.

Just like her name Prakiti, she has a soul of gypsy, the heart of a hippie and the spirit of a fighter.

When asked about the journey she shared, "I have been a wild and brave child ever since I came into this world, that’s what my dad says about me".

Her dad has been her greatest support system "back when I was 16, Isaw a picture of Mount Everest in my GK Book, ever since it made me wish to climb to the top of the world.

In 2017, I realised I wish to learn everything about mountains. So, I had applied for my basic Mountaineering Course at NIM and the waiting list was 2 years long.

I did some over 15 high altitude treks and COVID happened. And finally, in 2021, I completed my BMC, and ever since I have climbed 6 mountains" she added.

This little climber wants to climb all l 8000mt by 30 and want to tell this world that 'Give wings to a woman, and she will show you how to fly, that too very high', she also wants to open a school for the underprivileged so that they can give wings to their dreams for moutaineering as mountaineering is expensive and they can’t afford it.

She is planning to attempt Mt. Everest & Lhotse this April. And wants to mark her territory as the first female Vegan to conquer them.
