Kudi patang si ladd gayi...

After a hard time of COVID, Makar Sankranti was celebrated by people across the country with immense joy, happiness and love on Friday.

Being the first festival of the year, it was celebrated with great enthusiasm, people were seen enjoying with their family and friends all day long, with ‘vo kaaate’ and lots of prayers and laughter across.

The festival was enjoyed with the sweetness of rewri, moongfali, and popcorn.

People not only enjoyed the delicacies but had fun with colourful kites, balloons, music and wonderful company around. Makar Sankranti marks the beginning of Uttarayan, which lasts for six months, and the starting of the month of Magh in the Hindu calendar.

The festival suggests the movement of the sun towards the northern hemisphere, signifying the onset of warmer and longer days.
