"Iblis is powerful and ferocious"- ARAV

Arav Chowdharry, who plays the role of the villainous 'Iblis' shared his journey in an exclusive interview with City First.

When asked about his character Iblis, the actor excitedly shared, “Being able to portray an evil character is challenging, to say the least, and I'm certain that viewers will appreciate it. Iblis is different from all the roles I have played in the past. I consider this character’s energy very similar to that of some of the biggest villains in Bollywood. I’m also looking forward to working with Sayantani again and we’ve already interacted with each other on the sets. My aim is to deliver an unforgettable performance that will leave an indelible impression on the audience. This is my first association with Sony SAB, and it is a privilege to be a part of the Sony SAB family.”

When asked about the similarity between Mukesh Khanna's role in the older and his role in the new one, he said, "Well, personally, I was never really worried about any comparison. I had to portray Bhishma in such a way that it would appeal to a child, youth and the older generation as well. I had the Herculean task of creating a character, who is an integral part of Indian mythology the biggest and the best warrior of his times. He was so strong that even his Guru Parshuram, who had wiped out all the Kshatriyas on Earth 21 times, could not defeat him. Yet, Bhishma was always humble and noble. So, I had to keep in mind that though he has the body of the biggest warrior, he is humble. But Iblis is a negative character, who seeks to spread evil powers across the planet, fuelled by destruction and the killing of innocents. He is ruthless, courageous, and cunning. As a demon, he knows he cannot be killed, making him blindly powerful and ferocious. Playing this character is more fun and easy as compared to playing Bhishma.
