‘Goodbye’ renders everyone INCLUDING BIG B EMOTIONAL

The cast of Goodbye came together to launch the trailer of the film on September 6. The event saw the presence of the entire cast and surprisingly even Amitabh Bachchan. The actor who recently recovered from COVID-19 for the second time attended the launch online from the space of his home. A film that revolves around family, sure had the same energy off screen where the cast and crew emanated nothing but joy, love and respect. Amitabh Bachchan being his usual savage self answered the one thing he wants to say goodbye to - COVID-19. But along with some laughs, he also made sure to ball everyone with his adjoining wise words. The actor stated that the films that he gets to work in give him satisfaction. “However, one should never be satisfied with their work. There is always a doubt about whether you have done a good job. Satisfaction closes your doors to learning more. The ones standing beside me are talented veterans from whom I got to learn every day.”

When asked about how he as the head of the family would keep everyone together, Sr Bachchan replied that women are the head of the families. “You always think back about how my parents would have gone through a certain situation and you immediately get all the answers. That is the exact role of women. Even in the film, it is the lady that is the head.” Sharing how families are important, the Zanjeer actor recalled a personal incident. “After the last rites of my father were over, I was sitting in my father’s room. I was obviously sad. My friend came and sat with me. He asked why I was sad. When I told him the reason he had the most memorable reply, He said ‘You shouldn’t be sad as you got to spend more than 60 years of your life with him. I only got 25 years with my father.’ That shows the importance of an elder in a household.”

BigB is surely a man of grand presence who makes everyone bow with respect for him. That was visible when Vikas Bahl revealed that he has nothing else to achieve now that he has directed Amitabh Bachchan. Calling the chance of starring in the film a once-in-alifetime opportunity, Rashmika revealed, “It was an honour to work with legends. Everyone wants to work with Bachchan sir and when I heard the script and the fact that Vikas will direct it along with such an amazing cast, there was no reason to say no. It was a oncein-a-lifetime opportunity.” The trailer not only touched the hearts of the viewers but had the producer Ekta Kapoor tearyeyed. She revealed how there comes an age when one starts worrying about their parents. She further mentioned that she never thought she would work with any Khans but always wanted to work with Mr Bachchan. Goodbye stars Rashmika Mandanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, Pavail Gulati, Sunil Grover and an ensemble cast.
