FASHION A REFLECTION OF OUR TIMES

First India, The Fashion Connect season 13 in association with India Fashion Week London took place on 20 November at Novotel London Hammersmith, London. Fashion Connect is a celebration of Asian fashion by national and internationally renowned designers. The conception of India Fashion Week London has been driven by the need for a platform to showcase the existing creativity of world-class designers alongside supporting upcoming NEWGEN designers. The whole show was concluded by celebrity designer Samant Chauhan. Farha Ansari from Sewa, Ayesha and Radhika from Citrine and Shalini Narukaa participated in the grand event and showcased their astonishing designer collections in between the designer sequence First Kiss fame famous singer Ipsitaa performed. In the same episode, the grand launch of the cover page of the book ‘Unheard’ by Bhavini Bhargava was done by ace designer Samant Chauhan, Ipsitaa and many other dignitaries. Unheard is about an untold emotional journey of a teenager during the ups and downs of life through the medium of poetry.

The talented Singer thanked Dr Jagdeesh Chandra for inviting her to the mega event. While expressing his gratitude, the brand ambassador Rishee Miglani said, “Something big like this can only be done and visualized by a visionary like Jagdeesh Chandra, when he said we will do a show in Dubai during covid, nobody would believe it but after spreading the love of Fashion Connect in Asia and Dubai, we have now come to another continent in London, which is a very big thing. I m really thankful to Dr Chandra for taking Fashion Connect to a different level”. Lokesh Sharma, director of Fashion Connect said, “I am very happy with the response Fashion Connect got, I directed Fashion Connect in India and Indian Fashion Week in London simultaneously, to direct this grand show together was very interesting and fun and I am glad about this grand association of Fashion Connect with Indian Fashion Week, London. The celebration of Indian fashion involved fringe events in various places across London, ranging from VIP jewellery launch events to seminars on the various styles and trends.
