Fellow in Laser Dentistry By World Clinical Laser Institute (USA). He is even appointed as an Honorary Consultant dentist to the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar & his family.

Dr Archit, you are a certified sports dentist, how is it different from a regular dentist?
Sports dentistry is one of the most recent and upcoming fields in dentistry. It mainly includes the prevention and management of athletics-r elated orofacial injuries and associated oral diseases. Customised mouthguards are fabricated for athletes so that it fits properly and saves the oral cavity from any oral injuries while playing.

What attracted you to dentistry?
I have acknowledged and admired this profession since childhood and had the privilege to learn under the best that is my mother Dr Anjali Dave Tiwari, an ardent Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has inspired me every day with her compassion towards patient care.

What is the role of implantology in dental options for the elderly?
There isn’t really any age which is considered ‘too old for dental implant treatment’. A reasonably healthy person can safely and predictably have implants placed resulting in a vastly improved quality of life, assisting them to maintain a balanced nutritious diet and active lifestyle; remaining every bit as confident and socially engaging as a person with their natural teeth.

You also have a charity clinic at Jagatpura, how did that come about and how does it function?
We have our charity clinic at Jagatpura, where we treat patients for the majority of treatments obtaining zero monetary benefits & provide some treatments at a very low and affordable cost. We started this because I used to experience regularly in my practice that many people want to get good quality treatment done and are in major pain but unfortunately, they cannot afford private clinics and face a lot of challenges in terms of hygiene and availability in getting treatment at government hospitals.

You have been appointed as Honorary Consultant dentist to the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar & his family, how did this happen?
Hon’ble VP sir is very close to our family and in the initial days of his law practice, he use to be a close associate of my grandfather Justice VS Dave. He has been taking dental treatment from my mother Dr Anjali Dave Tiwari and now I am fortunate enough to fill her shoes as I have been appointed the Hony Consultant Dentist to Hon’Ble VP Sir.
