Amirotsav: A tribute to Kalarishi Amirchand

Nation First Collective, a division of Creative Collective Trust, organised a cultural program titled "Amirotsav" on the death anniversary of "Kala Rishi" Amirchand, General Secretary of Sanskar Bharti, it is noteworthy that Amirchand died last year in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. Famous Marathi director, Shri Rajdutt, film director Subhash Ghai, famous actor, singer and MP Manoj Tiwari, former director of National School of Drama Padmashree Vaman Kendra and many other dignitaries were present at this festival. Akashaditya Lama convenor of Nation First Collective said “As a tribute to the late Kala Rishi, Nation First Collective (NFC) has instituted an award in the name of Amirchand, which will be held every year starting this year for great achievers from the cultural field.” And this year the award was given to the eminent Tarpa player, Bhikalya Ladkya Dhinda from the Warli tribal tribe of Maharashtra, along with a book based on the biography of Amirchand was also released. Addressing the "Amirotsav" organised on the first death anniversary of Amirchand, All India Sanskar Bharati Sangathan Mantri Abhijit Gokhale said that "this is not a condolence meeting but a festival because Amirchand was a worshiper of grandeur and he has given his whole life in restoring art". Therefore, it would be a true tribute to him to organise such celebrations every year in his honour.

Senior Marathi director Rajdutt said, "Amirchand has not gone anywhere but his thoughts and guidance are and will always be with us." While addressing the festival, Vaman Kendre said that Amirchand used to say that only through art and culture India will become a Vishwaguru, Subhash Ghai said that he is devoted to his other works since meeting Amirchand, Along with this, Manoj Tiwari said that in the context of culture mapping, a great work was done in the form of financial assistance for the combination and promotion of artists, especially during the Corona period, with the vision of Amirchand. The program featured cultural performances by singer Sanjeev Kohli, Dance Exponent Rajshree Shirke and evening award winner as well as Tarpa player, 86-year-old Bhikalya Ladakya Dhinda, Padma Shri filmmaker Priyadarshan, Actor Anupam Kher, Padma Shri classical singer, Wasifuddin Dagar, Santoor player, Abhay Sapori, Padma Shri singer, Anup Jalota, President of Sangeet Natak Akademi, Dr Sandhya Purecha, Flute player Chetan Joshi, IGNCA Member Secretary, Satchidanand Joshi, (Barrister and daughter of former Information and Broadcasting Minister), Flute Actors from different walks of culture like Swaraj and many more prominent names.
