Aala Re Aala Ganesha

The fervour to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi on August 31, with echoes of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ reverberating in India. RANTHAMBORE GANESH TEMPLE, SAWAI MADHOPUR
Ranthambore National Park is one of the best tourist places in India, visited by nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. But, the Ranthambore National Park is widely visited by pilgrims and religious travellers to seek the blessings of a three-eyed god called ‘Trinetra Ganesh,’ whose temple is located at top of Ranthambore’s historic 1000-year-old fort. It is believed that the temple received the wedding invite of Lord Krishna and Rukmani’s marriage some thousands of years back and since then, the people send their invitations to the god. This Ganesh Temple is around 6500 years old, visited by approximately 1M people over 3-4 days during Ganesh Mela.
 

DAGDUSHETH GANPATI, PUNE
Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple is the most popular Ganesha temple in Maharashtra and one of the major attractions in Pune. Dagdusheth Ganpati trust is one of the richest in Maharashtra and is famous all over the country for its Golden idol.

ADI VINAYAKA TEMPLE, TAMIL NADU
Adhi Vinayaka is a form of Lord Ganesh (Vinayaka), which portrays the Hindu deity with a human head before being decapitated by his father, Lord Shiva. This specifi c form of Lord Ganesh is rarely worshipped, with only a few dedicated shrines, such as the one in Tamil Nadu. In this form, Lord Ganesh holds an axe, a rope, a modaka, and a lotus.

SHRI GARH GANESH JI TEMPLE, JAIPUR
The temple was built by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh when he performed the “Ashwamegha Yagya” before the establishment of Jaipur. He made the shrine and placed the statue of Lord Ganesha. He kept the foundation stone of Jaipur. Garh Ganesh also has ‘Dhwajadheesh’ Ganesha’s temple of Bari-Chaupar as its part. It is located on the hills near Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort.

SHIDHI VINAYAK GANESH MANDIR, MUMBAI
Siddhivinayak Temple traces its roots to the year 1801 when it was originally built by a man named Laxman Vithu. It is one of the richest temples in India. The temple has a small mandap with the shrine for Siddhi Vinayak. The wooden doors to the sanctum are carved with images of the Ashtavinayak.
