TALENT FROM THE HILLS OF BARAMULLA!

I’ve been born with a charm of acting in me, that’s how I see myself and that’s how the people around me have always talked about.” said the aspiring actor Aqib Nazir. When talking about the future, he said, “I see myself topping my levels at my best. That’s where I should stand with a kind heart.”

When asked about his journey, he said, “I was a mimicry artist I would say, that’s what my parents used to tell me. I had been appreciated by them at times. After some years I started making cover songs for some acts with no such proper equipment. Meanwhile, I went to a free workshop organised by the Indian Army where FTII Pune officials had come to hold the meeting. I met one of the officials who took me out of many people and told me to get trying and quoted to his friends ‘He has a Face in him ‘ that thing still aspires me. So further I thought of getting a little more trained in this so I went to Delhi, a new city where everything looked confusing. I joined the Gulshan Kumar Film & Television Institute of India where I completed my diploma in acting.”

While talking about his struggles, he said, “Being supported in those circumstances is for which I thank my brave pillars, my parents. There were times when I had no one in the new city, I had no one to talk to, no one to ask I’d been starving for days. I barely managed to live those days where I missed those pillars but also got a lesson about independence and progressive oneself building.”

The talented artist shared his achievements and said, “Unfortunately, I’ll just say that I’m still a budding artist. Haven’t got many leads or such big roles but I’ve done plays, some music videos, print shoots, and some theatre too later on. Moreover, I am planning to start a venture in my hometown to help dreamers like me who want it but don’t get a way ahead with it. I think in this competitive world, the bolder we are, the more we will matter.”
