Delhi’s fashionistas just got a reason to party and chill in the sweltering heat as the latest edition of Little Tags Luxury Presents DANJ Delhi Times Fashion Week (DTFW), powered by Olialia and co-powered by Nine Sanitary Napkins and kickstarted at Roseate House, Aerocity on Saturday.

Jagdeesh Chandra graced the occasion as the special guest of the glitz event. The three-day fashion extravaganza began with a show by designers Viresh Verma, Kingshuk Bhaduri and designer Ashfaq Ahmed to name a few. The designers presented a collection that was a blend of simple silhouettes, fine detailing, and a hint of shimmer. Supermodel Kangna Malik walked the ramp and won many hearts with her ramp walk at a fashion week.

Designer Kingshuk Bhaduri displayed a collection that emphasised comfort while staying stylish. A combination of sharara pants with angrakha jackets, long flowy dresses, fitted trousers and sheer shirts for men were the highlight of the collection. A lot of georgettes and jersey material were used to keep the collection comfortable.

Talking about the collection, the designer said that she wanted to create a Hollywood 40s look with some classic looks. “It was a summer collection and subtle shades were mostly used in the line. It was a wonderful show. I was very excited to be here at DTFW.” Chandni Devgan was the showstopper for the designer and donned a sequined lehenga in cream with thread embroidery.

Designer duo Vipin Aggarwal and Rajdeep Roy put together a show with a message on sustainability. Elegant summer dresses with asymmetrical hems, summer blazers, shorts and fitted shirts and pants for men were part of the collection. Print in green and a touch of gold was the common feature of the collection. There was an added element of shimmer as designer Ashfaque Ahmad ended the show with his dazzling designs in gold. From fitted floor-length gowns to glow ones with the trail, the collection was about easy to wear evening wear. Said the designer, “I have a simple approach, myth that you can wear gowns, it was for summer parties.” About his association with DTFW, Ashfaque said, “I have been associated with DTFW for quite some time now and each time I enjoy this experience.”
