Zero tolerance on illegal mining: DGP

Jaipur: The Director general of police (DGP) ML Lather on Monday directed all range IGs and SPs to have zero tolerance on illegal mining in the state. Chairing a crime review meeting, which happens monthly, the DGP took feedback about the campaign against illegal mining and history sheeters. He asked the officers to take effective action against history sheeters.
Expressing concern on pendency, he said that it is for all the SP to ensure that pendency is reduced in districts. The DGP ML Lather reprimanded SPs of Tonk, Bhilwara and Nagaur for not conducting rehearsals under internal security scheme despite 46 reminders sent by the intelligence branch. The top cop sought clarification from them.
