Yojana Bhavan case: ED seizes 5.3 kg gold; conducts searches at 17 places

Jaipur: In the DoIT Yojana Bhavan case, the ED carried out search operations under PMLA, 2002 on September 13 and 14 at 17 premises including lockers, residences & office premises of various companies, which were awarded contracts for LED Video walls & eMitra Projects from DoIT & C, RISL of Raj Govt.

These projects were supervised by accused Ved Prakash Yadav, the then Joint Director, DoIT.
During the search operations, 5.3 Kg gold worth Rs. 3.21 Crore, various incriminating documents including digital evidences were also recovered and seized, said a statement from the ED.

ED took action on Friday in Udaipur office of E-Connect company on information provided by of Ved Prakash and recovered 5 kg gold. Many contracts have been given to E-Connect company for IT related works. Similarly, action can now be taken against other companies who were given contracts during the time of Ved Prakash.
