Yamuna water agreement: ACS holds review meeting

Jaipur: Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources, Abhay Kumar held a review meeting with Railway officials on Wednesday in the Stat Secretariat to implement the Yamuna Water Agreement for drinking water of Shekhawati.

He said that under this agreement, about 350 MCM water will be available and Yamuna water will come to Shekhawati region through three pipelines of three meter width. Efforts are being made to fill the reservoirs in the concerned area with Yamuna water through a pipeline so that the dependence of Shekhawati drinking water on IGNP can be reduced, ACS Kumar said.

Kumar said that under the scheme, 302 km pipeline will be laid along the railway track.
