With Veenu gone, who will look after Mines and Industries?

Jaipur: The major departments of the state government are without its ‘chiefs’ after Veenu Gupta left for RERA. Gupta was heading Industries and Mines as its ACS and both the departments were without any Secretary too.

DoP has not given the additional charge of these departments to any official. Sources reveal that there is no top authority that can decide who can be given the additional charge of these departmments for the meantime. Although according to the rules of business, CS has the power to give additional charge, but it has become a tradition that in cases related to senior positions and senior officials, it is the Chif Minister who takes final call.

But now there is still time for the new Chief Minister to take office after which the important positions like CS, CMO, Finance, Home and DoP would be filled with new postings and thus it is quite possible that a lot of time is taken before postings are made in these departments.
