‘WEARING HIJAB IS OUR RIGHT’ MUSLIM WOMEN PROTEST

Jaipur: Muslim women continued to protest on Hijab row on the second consecutive day at Jaipur’s Albert hall.

A large number of women assembled at hall and demonstrated while saying wearing hijab is their right.

The chairperson of State Commission for Women Rehana Riyaz has advocated for convincing college girls to wear uniforms instead of stopping them from hijab or burqa.

On the hijab controversy in Chaksu College on the lines of Karnataka, Riyaz said, “Do not stop girl students from wearing hijab and burqa.

Don’t let the burqa become a barrier in studies.” The emphasis should be on resolving the issue instead of creating a dispute, she said. She also questioned the boys for doing politics.

Don’t spoil the social fabric, she said.
