Reliance New Energy Solar Ltd has signed a letter of intent with Raj govt for investing `1 L cr for generation of 20K MW solar plant

Jaipur: Reliance New Energy Solar Limited, a subsidiary of country’s largest corporate Reliance Industries Limited, has signed a letter of intent with Rajasthan govt for investing Rs 1 lakh crore for generation of 20,000 MW solar plant in state.

It will be the largest investment in renewable sector in Rajasthan which is likely to come up across one lakh acres in 5 districts including Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore and Bikaner.

The letter of intent was signed by company’s president Umesh Bhandari.

It was part of state govt’s proposed investment summit - Invest Rajasthan - which has already attracted investment of over Rs 7 lakh crore out of which around Rs 5 lakh crore are in renewable sector.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said the state govt will facilitate the companies to realise their investment plans.
