Water dept likely to lay pipeline along rly line

Jaipur: The DPR of the drinking water system at Tajewala (Hathni Kund), which will be a lifeline for the Shekhawati area of Rajasthan, will be ready within four months and the Bhajan Lal Sharma government of the state has started work on the ground regarding the project. The biggest difficulty in the project may be related to land acquisition. So, in the joint meeting of the Water Resources Department and the Railways, it was considered to lay a drinking water line along the railway line.

A DPR will be prepared after the Yamuna water agreement between Haryana and Rajasthan.

All possibilities of laying drinking water lines are being explored. Talks with the Railways seemed positive and officials of the water department believe that it would be good if they get 100- 150 km to lay the line.
