VP raises concern over rise in religious conversions
Jaipur: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday warned people of division and asked them to remain united & raised red flag over rise in religious conversions. Speaking at the Hindu Spiritual and Service Mela, Dhankhar remarked that the country has witnessed many eras of foreign dominance yet the Sanatan culture continued. “The essence of Sanatan culture flows in our blood and is part of our nature. It is time to unite rather than become so fragmented that we lose our identity,” he said. He highlighted the reverence given to parents, teachers, and guests in Sanatan culture, stating that festivals like Makar Sankranti, Nag Panchami, and Navratri showcase our rich traditions. “These rituals reflect the core principles of our Indian culture,” he added. The Vice President noted that five thousand years of Sanatan culture lie before us.
“Today, Hindu organizations are engaged in numerous service activities and I have seen their significant contributions when I was Governor of WB. This is our cultural identity,” he said. Swami Chidanand Saraswati said to be born in India is a great honor bestowed by the God.
