Voter trends reveal regional disparities in Rajasthan

Jaipur: New facts are emerging on the basis of analysis of low voting percentage in Rajasthan. There are highest number of booths, 18,328, with 61 to 70 percent voter turnout and 11 booths are with 11 to 21 percent turnout.

Along with this, not only rural voters but also young voters of 18-19 age group have shown a lot of indifference due to which the voting percentage could not reach the expected heights. A total of 59.56% of the new voters of 18 to 19 age group have voted in which Bagidora assembly constituency was at forefront with 99.37% voting while Sapotra had lowest voting of 40.38%in this age group.

There are 8 assembly constituencies where voting percentage in this age group was 80 to 99%. These include Bagidora, Soorsagar, Jaisalmer, Banswara, Ghatol, Sardarpura, Pokaran and Jodhpur. A total of 62.27% male voters voted in which the lowest 44.75% male voters voted in Nokha and highest 82.12 % in Baytoo assembly constituency.

There are 37 assembly constituencies where male voters voted between 70 to 82.12%. These include Baytoo, Ghatol, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Gudhamalani, Nimbahera, Sheo, Ramganj Mandi, Banswara, Chohtan, Bagidora, Pratapgarh, Sangod, Dag, Jhadol, Bundi, Ladpura, Baran Atru, Jhalrapatan, Manohar Thana, Gadhi, Kishanganj, Begu, Kota South, Anta, Pipalda, Kishanpol, Chhabra, Kota North, Khanpur, Hawamahal, Udaipur Rural, Keshoraipatan, Pachpadra, Soorsagar, Pokaran, Nohar. 60.72% women voted in this election and the highest number of women turnout was in Ghatol at 82.18% and the lowest was in Nokha at 35.03%. There are 19 such assembly constituencies where voting by female voters is 70 to 82.68%. These include Bayatoo, Ghatol, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Gudamalani, Nimbahera, Sheo, Ramganj Mandi, Banswara, Chohtan, Bagidora, Pratapgarh, Sangod, Dag, Jhadol, Bundi, Ladpura.
