‘Vote from home’ facility will be available to elderly voters: CEC
Jaipur: CEC Rajeev Kumar said those who raise questions about EVMs, repent when they win the elections. While interacting with the media after reviewing election preparations here on Sunday, he said a person with criminal background while contesting elections, will have to publish in 3 reputed newspapers and the parties giving tickets to such candidates will also have to inform the commission. The “vote from home” facility will be available to elderly voters and people with 40 per cent or more disabilities for 1st time in Raj during Assembly polls, Kumar told the media here on Sunday. EC is committed to free-andfair polls with a special focus on increasing the ease of voting, turnout in Rajasthan, he said.
