Visitors pay Rs 20 entry fee, welcome decision

Jaipur: Those visited the City Park in Jaipur post 9 am on Thursday had to pay Rs 20 as an entry fee. The Housing Board has decided to impose an entry fee for the park’s upkeep, keeping in mind the increasing footfall and its popularity in the country and abroad. Tourists visiting the park have welcomed the decision.

However, those visiting the park between 6 am to 9 am will be spared of the entry fee. Even the parking would be free. Children up to 12 years of age have also been exempted from being charged the entry fee.

Housing Board Commissioner Pawan Arora said that the entry fee will be charged keeping in view the maintenance of City Park and maintaining world-class facilities for the visitors.

For people’s convenience, cashless payment can be done by scanning the QR code at the ticket window. Besides, people can pre-book the tickets as well through the City Park RHB mobile application. Arora said that people can also get their annual pass made for just Rs 999. “They can get a form for this from the ticket counter or fill it up online using the app. Parking rates for two-wheelers and fourwheelers have been fixed. For two-wheelers (maximum 3 hours) Rs 20 rupees and for four- wheelers (maximum 3 hours) Rs 50 would be charged. Besides, people will have to pay for pre-wedding shoots in the park,” he said. Pre-wedding shoots would be Rs 10,000 per day, shooting of films or sops would be Rs 50,000 per day.
