Victim’s kin end dharna after Govt agrees to demands
Jaipur: The family and relatives of Sanjay Pandey, who allegedly hanged himself in Kanota area on April 19, ended dharna on Sunday, after assurances from the administration on their demands.
After the demands were met, the dharna being given outside the Sawai Man Singh mortuary for 3 days ended on Sunday and later, the post-mortem was also conducted.
As per the demands on which the agreement was made, a contract job will be given to the kin of the deceased. A dairy booth, financial assistance up to Rs 5 lakh, and a proposal will also be sent a house under the Prime Minister’s Housing scheme.
Earlier, on the same day, people of Sarva Samaj protested outside the mortuary of SMS Hospital, demanding the arrest of the accused and fair investigation in the case.
