Vehicles registered before April 2019 must get high-security registration number plates

Jaipur: All vehicles registered before April 2019 are mandated to have highsecurity registration plates (HSRP) installed. To ensure compliance, vehicle manufacturing companies and their authorized dealers have been entrusted with the responsibility of fitting HSRPs on vehicles.

Two-wheeler owners will incur a fee of Rs 425 for this mandatory upgrade, while threewheeler owners will be charged Rs 470, said an official on Friday.

For four-wheeler Light Motor Vehicles (LMV), the cost will be Rs 695, and for medium and heavy motor vehicles, it will be Rs 730. Tractor owners will also need to pay Rs 495 for high-security registration plates installation. The exercise will cover more than 20 lakh vehicles in the state, said the official on Friday.
