‘Veer Mata’, ‘Veer Pita’ I-cards for parents of martyrs in Rajasthan

Jaipur: In an initiative by Governor Kalraj Mishra, the Sainik Welfare Department will issue ‘Veer Mata’ identity card to the martyr’s mother and ‘Veer father’ (martyr’s father). The policy of naming schools or public places after the names of martyred soldiers and gallantry awarded soldiers will be simplified.

Mishra has given instructions to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of the collector at the district level for the time-bound disposal of cases. These decisions were taken in the meeting of the Sainik Welfare Board on Thursday at Raj Bhavan.

Mishra gave instructions for effective and time-bound implementation of various schemes being run for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. Sainik Welfare Department Minister Rajendra Singh Gudha stressed on making special efforts to settle the pending cases of allotment of land to the martyr’s dependents.

Chairman of the State Level Sainik Welfare Advisory Committee Manvendra Singh Jasol said that special efforts should also be made to solve the problems of retired personnel from Central Police Forces.

CS Usha Sharma said that a 3-tier public hearing system has been made by the administration for the grievances of the common people.
