‘Vajraprahar’ damages backbone of miscreants, crime dips by 9%

Jaipur: Following instructions of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, 5,137 teams of police raided around 13,600 hideouts of criminals and arrested 20,542 miscreants in a comprehensive campaign against hardened criminals, mafia and criminal gangs in the state. This has lessened crime by 9% until March as compared to last year. Director General of Police, Rajasthan Umesh Mishra, senior officers, including DGP Cybercrime Ravi Mehrada, ADG Crime Dinesh MN and ADG Law and Order Hava Singh Ghumaria held a press conference on Monday regarding this.

Director General of Police, Rajasthan Umesh Mishra said that according to the motto of Rajasthan Police, “Trust in common people and fear in criminals”, homework was done in depth by all the districts and ranges before starting the state level ‘Area Domination and Raid and Search Campaign’. The Range Inspector General worked in the control room and the Superintendents of Police worked in the fields in a coordinated manner to make the campaign a success.
