Vaibhav resumes charge as RCA Prez

Jaipur: Vaibhav Gehlot took charge as the President of the Rajasthan Cricket Association on Wednesday after offering prayers. He was recently being elected unopposed as the President. Vaibhav put forward the RCA’s side on the controversy of not giving chance to Ravi Bishnoi in the Ranji match being played in Jodhpur. “We are not doing any kind of casteism or regionalism. The decision on Ravi Vishnoi and playing XI members is with the selectors of the team. We do not have any interference in this,” he said.

Ravi Vishnoi has been honoured by the RCA three and a half months ago. He was given a place on the stage along with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur.

Gehlot said that this time also the IPL match will be organised in Jaipur. Along with this, along with Jaipur, now Jodhpur and Udaipur will also be developed as cricket centres so that State players can get a platform to showcase their talent with better training.

Others who took charge are Shakti Singh as Vice- President, Bhavani Samota as Secretary, Rampal Sharma as Treasurer, Rajesh Bhadana as Joint Secretary and Farooq Ahmed as Executive Member.
