Vaccination of cattle against deadly Lumpy begins in 4 districts
Jaipur: The vaccination of cattle against lumpy skin disease has started in four districts, an official said on Tuesday. PC Kishan, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry said the Department had placed orders for 10.7 lakh vaccines and about five lakh vaccines have been received so far. Thousands of cattle have been vaccinated in Bharatpur, Bundi, Ajmer and Kota districts, he added. The department will also recruit 500 personnel temporarily to prevent the spread of the disease among the cattle. Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister Lal Chand Kataria on Tuesday claimed that there has been a decrease in the death due to the lumpy skin disease in the cattle. The disease is expected to subside in another 10- 15 days, he added.
