Urged to increase Centre’s share in JJM in the interest of State: CM

Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday directed the District Collectors to get JJM’s progress regularly monitored by ADM level officers. “The work being done under Jal Jeevan Mission should be inspected in the field so that the situation is clear about the actual work and actual situation,” he said. The CM directed the Panchayati Raj Dept to organize special Gram Sabhas to achieve the goals of Jal Jeevan Mission & Swachh Bharat Mission. The Chief Minister also requested the Union Jal Shakti Min to give concession to the funding pattern instead of 50:50 to 90:10 in the interest of Rajasthan, keeping in mind the scattered population in the desert districts of the state, long distance of populated areas from water source, high FHTC cost etc.
