Union Min Shekhawat lauds CM Sharma for bringing ERCP

Jaipur: Praising CM BL Sharma, Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Saturday said that he is lucky for the state as the issue of Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project was resolved soon after he became chief minister.

“Like a lucky bride’s ‘pagphera’ brings happiness in the family, similarly Bhajan Lal Sharma is lucky for Rajasthan. As soon as Bhajanlal became CM, an MOU was signed between the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh governments regarding the ERCP which was kept in abeyance by the former Congress government,” he said.

He said that ERCP has proved to be the second biggest project in the country for irrigation and drinking water.
