“UDH’s‘ALIGNMENT’ IS A LITTLE OUT, BUT WE WILL SORT IT OUT”

Jaipur: Minister of State for Soldier Welfare Rajendra Singh Gudha said on Friday that he and his peers (who jumped into the Congress bandwagon defecting from the Bahujan Samaj Party) are not the people of Congress culture. “We have also formed the Congress government. It has also been saved but we have not been able to set in Congress culture. Don’t know what is the culture of Congress, but we came in it according to our will. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot knows what men we are, the rest of them, we know nothing about,” Gudha said while interacting with the journalists after the public hearing at the state Congress headquarters.

The Minister further said, “We can’t understand Congress’ culture. We work hand in hand with the people. Our only thing is that when we hold public hearings every day, 1000 to 500 people come, this is a routine work. I feel very light in the state Congress office. I alone do public hearings of about thousand and five hundred people in my area and there are very few people here. If people’s problems are provided solution in the Congress office, then it will strengthen the party, its result will be great.” Gudha said that the work raised by him and his 5 other peers is being done. “We are getting stuck a bit due to wrong alignment but we will amicably sort it out. There is no minister whose alignment has been messed up,” Gudha said and added further, “It is my suggestion that if there is a government, then the officials should be restrained. People should work hand in hand. Time boundation should be on officers, tighten them. Be it IAS or IPS, they should work immediately. Requesting will not work.”

After Gudha’s statements, political observers believe that he has given a political signal for the coming times by giving a statement that he is not set in the culture of Congress. Gudha has given rise to political discussions by questioning the style of functioning of the government and the party. Even during the previous Congress government, six BSP MLAs including Rajendra Gudha had joined the Congress. Later he lost on Congress ticket and left the party. He contested the last election with BSP and after winning merged with Congress. Gudha has given clear indications that he may go ahead with the old party as per the political need.
