Tussle between BJP & Congress councilors at JMC Greater GBM

Jaipur: In view of the tendency of not working and coming back to the same post even after being transferred as punishment, a proposal was tabled in the general meeting of Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation. It was proposed to shift the employees who have been sitting in the same place for the last 2 years or more. However, instead of passing the proposal, mayor Dr Somya cited the transfer policy of state govt and put a note on proposal while directing to follow that. Deputy mayor & other councilors raised questions on proposal.

Congress and BJP councilors got into tussles during the meeting. Congress councilor Rajula Singh accused Deputy Mayor Puneet Karnawat of getting action on illegal construction stopped in her ward. In reaction, Karnawat accused Rajula’s husband of harassing and extorting money from roadside vendors.

BJP councilor Ranveer Singh rushed to hit Congress councilor Omprakash after he made personal remarks against him. However, other BJP councilors caught him.
