Trains full beyond capacity for Christmas & New Year

Jaipur: Travelling to holiday destinations for Xmas or New Year is proving an uphill task for travellers these days. The airfares from the city to favourite getaways have already shot through the roof, while the trains have also been booked much beyond their capacity Passengers are unable to secure a berth in trains as almost all trains between Dec 25 to 30 have been completely booked. Sources informed that in some trains bookings have been closed while in some, the waiting list is too long that is very unlikely for people to get seat confirmation. The railways have added extra coaches to trains, but still, the bookings are very high in comparison to available seats. Destinations like Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Udaipur, and Jaisalmer are the most soughtafter tourist places and airfare to these destinations has already increased three to five times. Travelling to religious places like Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu is also difficult, as trains to such places have also been booked completely
