Traffic police launches campaign
Jaipur: The traffic police in Jaipur has started a campaign to ease traffic congestion on the roads of the city. Officials informed that teams of traffic police have been formed who will look after temporary encroachments in the main roads of Jaipur.
“Display boards encroaching roads will be removed while street vendors leading to traffic jams will also be asked to move away from main roads. The effort is being made for a jam-free traffic movement during peak hours in the city,” informed an official.
Following the directions of Additional Police Commissioner Rahul Prakash, the traffic police will identify the spots where the display boards has been placed and traffic movement is stalled as a result of the action.
“The traffic police team will coordinate with concerned department and display boards will be removed from outside the shops. Bus drivers, auto-rickshaw owners, and e-rickshaw drivers will also be told to not park their vehicles on the road. The traffic inspectors will be given interceptors to catch violators swiftly,” the officials added.
