Township policy to remain unchanged

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government will not implement the provision of re-adjustment of land in the township policy. A decision in this regard was taken by the state government on the legal opinion of the Additional Advocate General. Accordingly, a draft issued regarding the proposed changes in the policy will be dropped. A committee headed by UDH advisor GS Sandhu took the decision. The proposed changes were for implementing recreational, public, semi public, tourism facility, public amenities, transport land use. If the land owner gives his land for these land use, then they can be given back up to 50 percent of the land but according to legal opinion, doing so will be contrary to the orders of the High Court in the Gulab Kothari case.
