TOURISM BOOM DUE TO FESTIVE SEASON, 5L TOURISTS EXPECTED
Jaipur: As the festive season has started with Dussehra, the number of tourists has swelled up in the state. It is expected that from October 15 to October 30, the number of tourists visiting the state will be more than 5 lakh. The travel trade is fully geared up to welcome the guests and dozens of such packages have been made, which have got a lot of enthusiasm among the tourists. In the first 9 months of this year, about 38 lakh tourists have come to the state. There has been a record increase of 84% in the number of domestic tourists. Krishna Kanta Sharma, deputy director of the Archaeological Department, said that the development of infrastructure facilities at tourist places and virtual tours also showed confidence among tourists about Rajasthan. Tourism director Rashmi Sharma said that emerging as a model state in vaccination clicked. “The state government constantly focused on domestic tourists, the results were excellent and more is expected,” she said.
